Penthol / Turvo Logistics ETL
n8n-based PO extraction and ETL pipeline integrating with Turvo's logistics API for a freight forwarding client.
The Challenge
Freight purchase orders arrive as documents, not data. Someone was reading each PO and re-keying it into Turvo — the slowest step in the chain, and the one that silently introduced errors downstream.
Our Solution
Built an extraction and ETL pipeline that reads incoming POs, normalises them into the shape Turvo expects, and posts them through the API. Field mapping and validation live inside the pipeline, so a malformed PO surfaces as a flagged record instead of becoming a bad shipment.
Key Highlights
Document-to-structured extraction ahead of any API call
Field normalisation mapped to the Turvo schema and kept in one place
Validation gate — malformed POs flag rather than propagate
Node.js transform steps inside n8n wherever mapping needed real logic
