Secure contactless attendance system using computer vision and face recognition for institutional use.
The Challenge
Institutional attendance built on cards or fingerprints has two failure modes that are rarely designed for: proxy marking, and a shared contact surface. Both became harder to ignore after 2020.
Our Solution
Built a contactless system that identifies faces from a live camera feed, matches against enrolled encodings, and writes attendance to Firebase in real time. Because recognition runs against a stored encoding rather than a stored image, the enrolment set stays compact and the match happens locally.
